Taurus Boat Club Dinner 2019

This year’s Taurus Dinner is fast approaching and with yet another very successful year in the books, we’d like as many students, alumni and supporters to come and celebrate on the 30th March. We will have seven eights racing at the Head of the River Race earlier in the day, with three eights racing two weeks prior at the Women’s Head- so hopefully more success to mark the occasion.

Highlights of the past 12 months include:

-Defending the Ladies Plate record, and setting a Fawley record in the process. Two BROOKES|Rowing crews made the final- meaning the club effectively won the event on the Saturday- the first time this has ever happened.
-Winning the Academic Eights at Henley Women's Regatta
-Winning the Head of the River Race in a dead heat, with three eights in the top 10 and 5 eights in the top 20.
-Winning the Women’s Victor Ludorum at BUCS Regatta
-Beating both Oxford and Cambridge's Boat Race crews with our 1st 8, and their reserve crews with our 2nd 8.
-Winning the Senior Pennant at WeHORR
-Setting the fastest non-national team British coxless four record of 5:53.31.
-Setting a new club record of 5:29.06 at Ratzeburg Regatta.
-Winning Championship Eights at BUCS Regatta with the club's 2nd 8.

The dinner takes place at 7:30pm Phyllis Court, Henley-on-Thames and tickets are priced at £60, which includes a welcome drink, three course meal, wine and coffee. We will have number of guest speakers for the evening- it’ll definitely be a great evening to attend.

Tickets are limited, so ensure prompt purchase to ensure you have a spot for this year’s dinner!

Dress code: Black tie/ Boat Club Blazers.

Carriages at 11:45.
